I’m Proud to say I’m a Home Based Virtual Office Assistant.

The Virtual Assistant is becoming commonplace in the workforce as the computer in everyone's office is now. I still have to convince clients that I am a professional and can do the work at home just as well, OR BETTER, than what was being done at the office. The illusion of me sitting at a kitchen table with my computer, coffee at my side, paper thrown all over the place has to end. I have set up a separate room in my house as a office with my printer, scanner, fax machine, answering machine, bookcase of up to date computer programs. We should be considered the norm and gain respect among not only our peers, but the professional world. With the latest technology, high speed internet, connections to other VA's for advise and a determination to succeed and a love for what I do, I am on my way in this exciting field of work.

Today I started by reading my emails, checking in with several clients and typing up a brochure for a client that was due today - it's done and emailed back to them to print. At 11 am I took a walk to visit my 89 year father who lives nearby. It's now noon and I will be taking a hour for myself and sit out on the patio for lunch and maybe take my laptop with me and turn that hour into 2. Then it's time to check my snail mail, go grocery shopping, prepare supper and spend another hour or two on the computer.

Being a virtual assistant gives me "ME TIME". No 9-5, no driving in dangerous weather conditions in winter and I am the boss. This is a great way to go after spending 32 years out of the home while raising kids...Give it a try. I guarantee you will love it!
